The arrival of digital cameras in our lives has revolutionised our picture taking. Now it's easy to share photos with friends, get prints done on-line or print them at home, make photo albums, mugs, T-Shirts, canvases for your walls, the list is endless. But what about all those great pictures from the past? Bundles of old negatives and slides lie redundant in draws, and nowadays trying to use them for prints (or anything else on that long list) is a right royal pain. Well help is at hand, now you can easily convert all your favourite old negatives and slides into digital images with the Digital Film Scanner. This brilliant little piece of kit comes with holders for both negatives and slides, and at the press of the 'Copy' button will scan your historical (or possibly hysterical) images with its 5 MegaPixel SMOS sensor, and save them as either Tiff or Jpeg files on your PC. It comes complete with software for editing, cropping and re-sizing your images, and was designed for use by people who don't really know what they're doing, which is how we managed to figure it out. It's an absolute joy to get all those old pictures from way back when and see them all afresh - at last you can turn the past into the present.
